A Local Shelter Serving Local Animals

The Iosco County Humane Society is here for animals in need across our community. We care for animal guests with compassion, work to place them in good homes, and support a future where fewer animals face neglect, abandonment, or overpopulation. We believe every animal deserves safety, dignity, and a chance to thrive. That work includes adoption support, humane care, responsible pet guardianship education, and help for animals in Iosco County who are lost, neglected, or suffering cruelty.

How We Help

Shelter & Care

We provide daily care, shelter, and support for animals who need a safe place and a fresh start.

Adoption & Good Homes

We work to connect animals with loving adopters and better futures through thoughtful placement and community support.

Responsible Pet Guardianship

We encourage responsible care, humane treatment, and long-term pet wellbeing throughout the county.

Overpopulation Prevention

We support efforts to reduce feral cat overpopulation and improve outcomes for pets across the region.

A Safer, Healthier County for Animals

When a community supports humane sheltering, adoption, and responsible pet care, animals and people both benefit. The Iosco County Humane Society exists not only to care for animals in crisis, but also to help create a county where pets are safer, families are supported, and animal welfare is treated as a shared responsibility.
